Keyshia Cole revealed on Twitter last month that her son, who had just started attending Ye's Donda Academy, had been removed after the rapper formerly known as Kanye West made some alarming remarks on his Twitter. Ye responded to Boosie, who was criticizing him for wearing a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt. “DON’T SPEAK ON ME LIL BOOSIE SPEAK TO ME YEAH LITTLE NERD ASS ME COME SMACK ME OR COME SHOOT ME IM [sic] THE ONE THAT GOT BULLIED BY THE ENTIRE BLACK CELEBRITY COMMUNITY NOW IM BACK TO SHOOT THE SCHOOL UP,” Kanye’s since-deleted tweet read. While Kanye wasn’t talking about his school, Cole found the message disturbing. “I took my DJ out of Donda sadly after ye said he was back to shoot the school up; that scared me a bit,” tweeted Cole. She also denied that she had to sign an NDA for her son to attend school, as many people claimed.
