The parents of the Sandy Hook victims have taken Alex Jones to trial for his comments on the massacre. Jones' notorious story that Sandy Hook was a hoax has already been deemed libel; now, three trials will determine how much Jones must pay. From the looks of the first one, it may be costly. In addition to $4.1 million in compensatory damages, the jury awarded the parents $45.2 million in punitive damages as well.
