After spending 43 days in jail, ther 20-year-old Chicago rapper Lil Durk (real name Durk Banks) pleaded guilty to his gun possession charges in court on Tuesday.
Instead of the recommended one year jail sentence, Durk was released and will remain on probation for 18 months.
Durk made a vow to the court to never appear in front of the judge.
"The key word is I'll be out of trouble," the Chicago Tribune reported Durk said to the courtroom. " He promised he won't be back behind bars anytime soon. "You can put a capital N, for 'never.'"
