Sadly, Easter weekend did not bring peace to Chicago. Thirty-six people were shot in total and nine killed between Friday and Sunday evenings.
Six children between the ages of 11 and 15 on Sunday alone. The Tribune reports four girls and a boy were shot when someone opened fire on them near the 6600 block of South Michigan Avenue.
Another young girl, a 5th grader, was shot after Easter dinner on Sunday evening.
