Listen to Eminem on iHeartRadio

Rick Rubin and Skylar Grey are lending their hands to Eminem.  On NBC's "Saturday Night Live," Def Jam co-founder Rick Rubin manned the turn tables as Eminem performed his single "Berzerk" from his upcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

The rocking performance brought down the house, but it also drew speculation on social media that the rapper was lip-syncing to a backing track.

For his second performance, Eminem enlisted singer Skylar Grey for his single "Survival."  Grey filled in for Liz Rodrigues, who performs the song's hook on the album version.

This isn't the first time Eminem and Skylar Grey have teamed up.  She wrote Eminem's song "Love the Way You Lie" and also performed the hook on Dr. Dre's song "I Need a Doctor," which also featured Eminem.  Skylar is also featured on Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which is set to hit stores on Tuesday.

Meantime, Eminem didn't lend the sketch comedy show any of his acting talents.  He left that up to host Kerry Washington, who took on roles as Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and a pundit defending President Obama.
